SourceCode: A world class workflow and systems
integration solution provider - February 2002
The South African
IT industry has not to date distinguished itself on the world
stage as a source of unique new software development. We recently
came across a young company called SourceCode, which we have
every reason to believe is about to break this mould, and
we are delighted to announce that Treacle has now acquired
a 25% stake in the company.
SourceCode was
formed by Adriaan van Wyk, Lenz le Roux and Olaf Wagner in
1997 as a software development house. Their primary product
K2.net, is a rapid process integration toolset with built-in
process logic on the Microsoft platform. K2.net assists companies
with complex application integration and workflow management
issues to
rapidly document and re-engineer a
process;
having integrated K2.net with the
applications in the process, obtain detailed management
information on all activities in the process, allowing for
continuous process improvement; and
drive significant cost reductions.
The K2.net product was taken to market in
2001 and has achieved rapid acceptance. A good reference site
base has been established to date. The company is now actively
developing its sales and delivery channel via the appointment
of leading IT implementation consultancies as channel
partners.
Adriaan, Lenz and Olaf have impressed us as
software developers and we believe that they will succeed in
developing unique software solutions not only in South Africa
but also in the international arena.
If you have any plans to re-engineer or
automate processes in your business, we will arrange for you
to have a quick introduction to K2.net…you have nothing to
lose and a lot to gain.
Kind regards,
